2. What We Actually Use Today
We take a deliberately minimal approach to tracking. The current leverydigital.com surface uses only the following:
Essential — Cloudflare Bot Management
Purpose: Cloudflare, our hosting and edge provider, may set a short-lived bot-management cookie (commonly named __cf_bm) to distinguish bots from real visitors and protect the site from automated abuse. This is strictly necessary for the site's security and availability.
Lifespan: 30 minutes (sliding).
Set by: Cloudflare, on our behalf.
Consent required: No — strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under common cookie law (ePrivacy / EU CNIL guidance).
Functional — Theme Preference (browser localStorage, not a cookie)
Purpose: We remember whether you chose light or dark mode on the site. This preference is stored in your browser's localStorage (a separate, simpler mechanism than cookies); we do not set a cookie for this.
What's stored: a single key (theme) with the value "light" or "dark".
Lifespan: until you clear your browser's site data.
Sent to our server? No — localStorage stays in your browser and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data controls.
What we do NOT use
To be clear about what's not happening on leverydigital.com today:
- No analytics cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, Mixpanel, Segment, Amplitude, Pendo, or any equivalent analytics tool. We do not measure individual visitor behavior.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not run Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any ad-network or retargeting code. We do not build user interest profiles.
- No social media tracking. The site does not embed Twitter / X, LinkedIn, Facebook, or other social-media widgets that would set third-party tracking cookies.
- No first-party session cookies. The marketing site is stateless and does not require login; we do not set authentication, session, or CSRF cookies on this site. (Future authenticated surfaces — such as our customer Portal when it ships — will have their own dedicated session cookies, which we will disclose here at that time.)
If this changes, we will update this Cookie Policy and archive the prior version per our previous versions practice.
3. How We Use Cookies and Local Storage
We use the small set of mechanisms above for two purposes only:
- Security and availability: Cloudflare's bot-management cookie keeps the site protected from automated abuse.
- Functionality: The theme preference (in localStorage) lets the site remember whether you chose light or dark mode between visits.

The only third-party cookie our site relies on today is Cloudflare's bot-management cookie, described in §2. It is set on our behalf as part of hosting and security, and is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social-media widgets, or analytics scripts that would set additional third-party cookies on this site.
6. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. Currently, there is no industry standard for recognizing DNT signals. Our website does not currently respond to or honor DNT browser signals. However, you can control the use of cookies through your browser settings as described above.
